On The CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, Helen worked on the Eye on America team where she produced reports on issues ranging from gun control, to capital punishment, to Gulf War Syndrome. This Eye on America story on “The Meanest Sheriff in America” profiled Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio… before he became a national figure.

In the wake of the tragic and untimely death of Princess Diana, this hour-long CBS News special examines her legacy. The broadcast was awarded the 1997 National News and Documentary Emmy Award for Instant Coverage of a Single Breaking News Story. Helen was one of the producers who received an Emmy for her work on the broadcast.

This one hour special Blizzard aired on the NBC Stations in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma. What do people need to know to prepare for severe winter weather? What would you do if you got stranded in your car during a severe snowstorm? The Red Cross honored this broadcast for raising awareness on the dangers of treacherous weather.
